Educational Qualifications: (1) Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering. (2) At least 03 years experience for Degree holders and 08 years for Diploma holders in internal and external electrification of different kinds of buildings such as Lecture Halls, Laboratories, Hostels, Hospitals, and Auditorium etc. The candidate should also have experience of installation of Air-conditioning equipment‟s and Lifts. (3) Age Limit: 35 years- Relaxable for SC/ST/OBC candidates as per University rules and by number of years put in at BHU for the candidate serving at supervisory level.

General Instructions to the Candidates 1. Online mode of submission of applications shall be essential. 2. There is a separate online recruitment form for Group ‘A’, ‘B’ & ‘C’ and School teaching posts. 3. Applicants shall first register on the Recruitment & Assessment Cell portal on the BHU website, after which, they can fill up the prescribed electronic application form online. 4. Separate applications shall be submitted for different positions. 5. Before starting to fill up the form, please ensure keeping ready a digital copy of passport size photograph in JPEG format not exceeding 50 kb in file size and digital copy of signature not exceed 50KB, for up-loading. 6. Filling all mandatory fields is required to make your application complete. 7. Incomplete applications will not be considered and will be REJECTED. 8. While filling the online application, if your browser closes unexpectedly or if you are logged out, please use the login information sent to your email to login again. 9. In case of any technical problems, please send an email to recruitment@bhu.ac.in 10. There are several Tabs in your application. After completing each tab, you should click on “Save and Proceed” button to saving the information and move to the next tab. Completing all tabs is necessary. After filling all tabs, the candidate can finally submit his application. Please note that you cannot make any changes after that. 11. On successful submission, the applicant will come across a link to download a PDF of the application, which he/she will have to print and send to BHU after signing it and having it forwarded by his employer, if any, with the requisite application fee, so as to reach BHU by the last date. 12. Mere eligibility will not entitle any candidate for being called for interview. More stringent criteria including holding written test may be applied for short-listing the candidates to be called for interview. Applicants having higher qualification and merit or higher marks in the written test will be given preference in case of Group A posts. 13. The Ordinances governing the procedure to be followed by the Selection Committee may be seen on the portal of the
Recruitment & Assessment Cell on the BHU website. 14. The University shall verify the antecedents or documents submitted by a candidate at the time of appointment or during the tenure of the service. In case, it is detected that the documents submitted by the candidates are fake or the candidate has a clandestine antecedents/ background and has suppressed the said information, then his/her services shall be terminated. 15. The University reserves the right to withdraw any advertised post(s) at any time without giving any reason. Any consequential vacancies arising at the time of interview may also be filled up from the available candidates. The University may, at its discretion, fill up any future vacancy belonging to Gen./SC/ST/OBC as per roster point out of the available candidates. The number of positions is thus open to change. The University may relax/review the qualification/ experience and age limit at its discretion at any stage and in case of candidates with exceptional merit. 16. In case of any inadvertent mistake in the process of selection which may be detected at any stage even after the issue of appointment letter, the University reserves right to modify/withdraw/cancel any communication made to the candidate. 17. In case of any dispute/ambiguity that may occur in the process of selection, the decision of the University shall be final. 18. Applicants who are in employment should route their application through proper channel or should submit a "No Objection Certificate" from the employer prior to the interview, failing which they may not be considered further. 19. On successful submission of your form you can pay on- line application fee day of form submission on the next day and the applicant will get a link download a PDF on next day of fee payment, which he/she will have to print and send to BHU after signing it and having it forwarded by his employer, if any, enclosing therewith the copies of the relevant certificates and documents, so as to reach BHU by the last date. 20. Candidates are advised to satisfy themselves before applying that they possess at least the minimum essential qualifications laid down in the advertisement. 21. Canvassing in any form will be a disqualification. 22. No interim correspondence shall be entertained. 23. On the positions reserved for specially abled persons (VH, HH, OH), all the specially abled persons are requested to apply since if the designated category of specially abled person is not available, the post may be filled with other categories of specially abled candidates available to the extent of required number of their reserved posts. 24. Relaxations and concessions for SCs/STs/OBCs will be applicable in accordance with reservation policy of the GoI and subsequent clarification/directives issued from time to time to this effect. 27.The selection is made as per merit on the basis of written examination for non-gazetted posts of Group ‘B’, ‘C’ (including erstwhile Group ‘D’). In addition, Aptitude/Skill Test may also be conducted wherever applicable, as per GoI O.M. No. 39020/01/2013-Estt (B)-Part dated 29th December, 2015 and subsequent clarification/directives issued by the Government of India from time to time. Short listed candidates will be called for verification of the original documents according to Merit and availability of number of vacancies 28. In respect of Group ‘C’ and ‘D’ (erstwhile) positions weightage of 4% marks for each year of service (at least 240 days per year for daily wagers) rendered by daily wages/ contractual employees in the Banaras Hindu University up to a maximum ceiling of 20% 12
marks in every criterion of assessment (skill test/ written test) will be allowed, subject to the condition that such employees meet the eligibility condition (qualification and experience) for the position being so filled. 29. In addition to the existing reservations maximum 10% reservations will be given to “economically Weaker Sections” of citizens as per GOI rules. 30. PwD‘s will be entitled to all exemptions, relaxations, benefits as per Govt. of India guidelines. 14. The number of vacancies indicated in the notification is tentative. IIT Ropar reserves the right to increase or decrease the number of advertised posts at the time of selection. Further, IIT Ropar also reserves the right NOT to fill any of the post advertised. 15. Candidates shall have to produce original documents at the time of appearing in Written Test/ Trade Test / Presentation / Interview. In the absence of the same, candidature will not be considered for written test / trade test / presentation / interview and no TA will be paid. 16. No correspondence whatsoever will be entertained from candidates regarding eligibility/ conduct/ result of written test / interview etc. and reasons for not being called for written test /interview etc. 17. The Institute may conduct Written and/ Trade/ skill Test for any/all the above posts and only those candidates who qualify the said test(s) may be called for interview. 18. The prescribed Essential Qualification/Experience indicated are bare minimum and mere possession of same will not entitle the candidates to be called for test/interview. Where number of applications received in
response to an advertisement is large, it may not be convenient or possible for IIT Ropar to conduct test and/or interview of all the candidates, IIT Ropar may restrict the number of candidates to be called for written test/trade/ skill test/ interview to a reasonable limit, on the basis of qualification and experience higher than that of the minimum prescribed in the advertisement. The candidates should, therefore, furnish details of all the qualifications and experience possessed in the relevant field, over and above the minimum qualifications prescribed along with documentary evidences. The institute may relax the eligibility criteria for candidates working in IIT System. 19. Institute is free to restrict/change the criteria to call the eligible candidates for the written Test/Interview. 20. If a suitable candidate is not available, the candidate may be offered next lower position. 21. The qualification prescribed should have been obtained from recognized Universities/Institutions. 22. Outstation candidates called for Written Test/ Trade Test/ Computer Test/ Presentation/ Interview will be paid 2 nd AC Class Railway fare in respect of Group ‗A‘ staff post i.e. Sl. No. 01 , 7, and 9 posts and 2nd Sleeper Class Railway fare in respect of Group ‗B‘ & ‗C‘ posts i.e. Sl. . 2- 6, 8, and 10 -13 from the place of duty/residence to IIT Ropar and back by the shortest route. The reimbursement of admissible amount will be made through transfer to their Bank Account on submission of RTGS details by the concerned candidate, and no cash will be paid on the spot. 23. Applications received through E-mail / offline mode / incomplete / not on prescribed format / without application fee will not be entertained/accepted. 24. Candidates are required to go through the Post Parameter Table, Vacancy Table and ascertain their eligibility to apply through ONLINE mode to any one RRB only, depending upon their eligibility. The selection of RRB once exercised shall be final. Application to more than one RRB, will lead to rejection of all the applications. 7. Eligibility of the candidates will be considered only on the strength of the information furnished in the ONLINE Application. Candidates need NOT send printouts of application or Certificates or copies to RRBs concerned by post. RRB-wise shortlisting of candidates for 2nd Stage CBT shall be done at the rate of 15 times (may increase or decrease as per the requirement of Railway Administration). The shortlisting of 2nd Stage CBT will be based on the merit of the candidates in 1st
Stage CBT. The RRB-wise shortlisted candidates for 2nd Stage CBT shall be advised through the official websites of RRBs and e-mail to download their e-call letter for appearing in the 2nd Stage CBT. 12. Negative Marking: There shall be negative marking for incorrect answers in CBTs. 1/3rd of the marks allotted for each question shall be deducted for each wrong answer. 13. Banned items:- Electronic gadgets like Mobile phones, Bluetooth, pen drive, laptops, calculators, wrist watches or any other communication devices or pen/pencil, wallets/purses, belts and metallic wears including ornaments etc., are strictly NOT allowed inside the examination hall. Any infringement of this instruction will entail summary rejection besides legal action including debarment from future examinations.

14. Candidates are advised in their own interest not to bring any of the above banned items to the venue of the examination, as arrangements for safe keeping cannot be assured. 15. Center/City allocation will depend upon technical and logistical feasibility. Candidates may have to travel to other Cities/States. 16. Candidates should have their own Mobile Number and valid & active e-mail ID as RRBs shall send all recruitment related communications only through SMS and e-mail. The Mobile Number and e-mail ID should be active till the completion of recruitment process. RRBs will not entertain any request for change of mobile number and e-mail address at any stage. 17. Before filling up of the online application, candidates are advised to thoroughly read the entire instructions and information in the detailed CEN available on the websites of RRBs. 1.0 GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS: 1.1 Admission to all stages of recruitment process shall be purely provisional, subject to the candidates satisfying the prescribed eligibility conditions. 1.2 Mere issue of e-Call letter to the candidates will NOT imply that their candidature has been finally accepted by the RRB. 1.3 RRBs conduct verification of eligibility conditions with reference to original documents only after the candidates have qualified in all the stages of examinations. RRBs may reject the candidature of any applicant at any stage of recruitment process, in case the candidate is found to be not fulfilling the requisite criteria, and if appointed, such a candidate is liable to be removed from service summarily. 1.4 Before applying for the post(s) against this CEN, candidates should satisfy themselves that they fulfill all the eligibility norms including age, educational qualification(s) and medical standard(s). Candidates should ensure that they have requisite educational/technical qualifications from recognized Board/University/Institute as on the on the closing date for ONLINE Registration (31.01.2019). Those awaiting results of the final examination for the prescribed qualification are not eligible and hence should not apply. 1.5 Candidates attempting to apply with minor changes of information and/or facts to more than one RRB and /or multiple applications to the same RRB will be summarily rejected and such candidates will be debarred from all future examinations of RRB. 1.6 Candidates who have been debarred by any RRB/RRC either for life or for a specified period which is not yet completed should NOT apply for this CEN. Their candidature will be rejected during any stage of recruitment as and when detected. 1.7 Candidates should enter their Name, Father’s Name and Date of Birth as recorded in the Matriculation/SSLC/High School Examination Certificate or an equivalent Certificate ONLY. In cases of name change, candidates should indicate their Changed Name only in the ONLINE application. However, other details should match with the Matriculation or Equivalent certificate. Date of such change (or) application for such change should be prior to the date of registration of ONLINE application. Gazette Notification or any other legal document as applicable for such cases should be submitted at the time of Document Verification (DV). 1.8 Signatures of the candidates on all documents should be identical, in all stages of recruitment process and should not be in block/capital letters. Signatures in different style at the time of CBT and DV etc. (as applicable) may result in cancellation of candidature. 1.9 Dates of examinations will also be published on the websites of participating RRBs and e-Call letters for CBT and DV (as applicable) will be available for downloading ONLY on websites of the RRBs concerned. The examination centre, date and shift indicated in the call letter shall be final. RRBs reserve the right to introduce additional CBTs and/or additional DV etc., without assigning any reason. 1.10 Vacancies indicated in the CEN are provisional and may increase or decrease or even may become NIL in total or in specific Railways/Units/Communities/Posts at a later stage depending upon the actual needs of the Railway Administration. Further additional posts, if required by the Railway(s)/Unit(s) may also be included at later stage. The Railway Administration also reserves the right to cancel the notified vacancies at its discretion and such decision will be final and binding on all. In the event of cancellation of notified vacancies, the examination fee paid by the candidates will not
be refunded except for candidates, who have attended the 1st Stage CBT. 1.11 Preference for post(s) and/or Railway(s)/Unit(s): The options from the candidates for various posts for which they are eligible in the opted RRB, shall be taken during submission of ONLINE applications. On completion of all stages of recruitment process, RRBs shall allot post & Railway/Unit as per the option of the candidates ONLY subject to merit and vacancy position. Once candidates have been empanelled as per their merit/choice, they will forfeit the right to be considered for any other post/category. Candidates with partial option will be considered only for the specific categories opted by them. Non-option for certain posts would be considered as their unwillingness for the same. However, RRBs also reserve the right to allot Post/Railway/Unit not opted by the candidates, if considered necessary in administrative interest, subject to the candidate(s) meeting the requirements of the post concerned. In case of shortfall in empanelment of candidates or other exigencies, RRB reserves the right to utilize the extra list of candidates, if required, as per the merit and option of the candidates. 1.12 Selection by RRB does not confer upon candidates any right of appointment in the Railways.
